Optometrics of Chatsworth utilizes a product called InflammaDry to diagnose Dry Eye and aid us in selecting the proper treatment plan for each of our patients. Why InflammaDry is Efficient
Further Treatment
Once a patient has been diagnosed, further treatment is at the discretion of the doctor and can include:
- InflammaDry is a rapid, in-office test that detects MMP-9, an inflammatory marker that is consistently elevated in the tears of patients with dry eye disease.
- The test identifies elevated levels of MMP-9 protein in tear fluid samples taken from the inside lining of the lower eyelid.

Further Treatment
Once a patient has been diagnosed, further treatment is at the discretion of the doctor and can include:
- Non-prescription artificial tears, gels and/or ointments.
- Topical anti-inflammatory therapy
- Oral anti-inflammatory medications
- Oral Omega-3 supplements
- Punctal plugs
